To Know Others and Be Known

One of God’s graces to us is the community of believers. We were created to know others and to be known by others. The enemy isolates, God brings together his people to share life’s toughest struggles and to celebrate God’s many blessings.

Hebrews 10:24–25 And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

The writer of Hebrews knew the tendency of all people to isolate when life gets hard. In isolation we can often get bogged down with wrong thinking about a sin or suffering struggle that we have. This wrong thinking then controls our emotions that can lead to to wrong conclusions about why we are suffering or to justify our sins. We will remain in this rut until we get brave enough to open up to someone about our sin or suffering struggle.
If you are stuck in this rut of despair, will you reach out to a trusted Christian that you know loves you? If you don’t have that type of person in your life, will you reach out for care to someone you may not know but will point you to the truth about your situation in a patient loving way?

I would love to come alongside you in your journey towards freedom with biblical hope that gets to the core heart struggles that you may have.
